Upon arrival at the TIA, Kathmandu, meet and greet with our office representative. Then, you will be transferred to the designated hotel. Our representative will escort you to the hotel. and assist you with the check-in process. The day you will visit one of Nepal’s most sacred religious Shiva temples, Pashupatinath. It is Kathmandu’s most visited temple of Lord Shiva. Its main attraction is the unique Shiva Linga, which displays the eight faces of Lord Shiva. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
On the second day, you will be travelling to the City of Lakes, the gateway to the Himalayas—Pokhara. The trip takes you through various tiny villages, terraced fields, infrequent rural towns, different vistas, and grassy hills. If the weather is nice, you’ll be able to see snow-capped mountains straight outside your window. After around 7-8 hours of driving from Kathmandu, you will arrive in Pokhara.
Optional with extra cost: En route, you have the option of rafting in the Trishuli River or visiting the Manakamana Temple, “Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes,” where you are taken on a 10-minute cable car ride.
Pokhara, located at the banks of Phewa Lake, is the tourism capital of Nepal. The valley offers beautiful weather, a laid-back atmosphere, colourful markets, sophisticated restaurants, a peaceful lakeside, and spectacular mountain views. In the evening, one can go for a walk around the lakeside, stroll around the market, or relax on the shores of Phewa Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Early breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive towards Jomsom. Jomsom is the home of the famous pilgrims’ site, Muktinath, and the headquarters of the Mustang district.
Enjoy the scenic drive through beautiful hilly, narrow highway roads and rugged terrain, observing the unique desert-like landscapes, beautiful snow-capped mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and forested trails of the Mustang region. En route, we will visit Rupse Falls. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in at the hotel. Please do note that Jomsom is a small village in the mountains. Only basic accommodation is available here. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jomsom.
Early in the morning, you will have a 1.5-hour jeep drive to Muktinath. Enjoy the deserted landscape of Mustang. You need to climb for 30 minutes to reach the Muktinath temple.
Muktinath Temple is a Vishnu temple sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists, located at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang, Nepal. Located at an altitude of 3,710 meters, it is one of the world’s highest temples. It is a great example in the world as a sacred place shared in harmony by devotees of two world religions. The Tibetan-Buddhist pilgrims call the holy site “Chumig Gyatsa” meaning ‘Hundred Waters’ named after the 108 sprouts at the site.”
Darshan on at Muktinath Temple. After Darshan, following the same route, return to the hotel and drive back to Pokhara via. Tatopani Hot Spring. It is a natural hot spring that is believed to have some medicinal and healing powers due to the high mineral content in the water. (The Pond is not private, so you might find people bathing and relaxing in the pond.)
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, and the rest of the day is leisure. Evening visits the Phewa Lake. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
On the 5th day, after breakfast at the hotel check out and retracing the same path, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the time is leisure. Indulge in shopping and explore the local thamel market- a tourist hub. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Breakfast at the hotel, and you will be free until departure. You will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for the upcoming onward trip. Reaching the airport, the Muktinath trip ends with a memorable experience in Nepal.
