Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is located in the central part of Nepal, whereas Nagarkot is a village located 35 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,170 meters. Enjoy your time observing the authentic Nepali culture as you walk through the beautiful alleys lined with traditional houses in Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Upon arrival at the TIA, Kathmandu, meet and greet with our office representative. Then, you will be transferred to the designated hotel. Our representative will escort you to the hotel and assist you with the check-in process. After a short briefing on the trip, the rest of the day is leisure. On the second day, after having breakfast at the hotel, you will visit one of Nepal’s most sacred religious Shiva temples, Pashupatinath. It is Kathmandu’s most visited temple of Lord Shiva. Its main attraction is the unique Shiva Linga, which displays the eight faces of Lord Shiva.
With a 1 hrs drive to Chandragiri Hill and then to the top of the hill via. cable car ride. Chandragiri Hills is naturally beautiful and considered one of the best hill station destinations at a height of 2500 m. It offers a mesmerizing view of the Kathmandu Valley surrounded by a series of Himalayan mountains smiling over the green hills, adventurous activities, cultural significance, and a relaxing atmosphere. You can see Annapurna on the west, Everest on the east, and major mountains like Ganesh Himal, Mount Manaslu, Langtang Lirung, etc. You will be delighted to see those landscapes and their beauty from the top of the hill. Visit the religious and mythological site “Baleshwor Mahadev Temple,” also known as Ichheshwor Mahadev. It is believed to have been built on the site where Sati Devi’s forehead (Bhala) had fallen.
Swyambhunath Stupa, the golden spire of the 5th century, is popularly known as “The Monkey Temple.” It is an ancient religious structure atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley.
On the third day, after having breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and proceed towards our overnight destination. En-route visit, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site that was built during the 12th century by Malla Kings. It is popular for its traditional Newari art and architecture, pagoda temples, magnificent windows, historical monuments, handicrafts, pottery, and cuisine called Juju Dhau (kings of yoghurt). Some of its major attractions are the Golden Gate, 55 Window Palace, Nyatapole Temple, and many more.
After that, you will drive to Nagarkot, situated 35 km (about 1.5 hours) east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175 m. Nagarkot commands one of the broadest panoramic views of the Himalayas (8 Himalayan ranges of Nepal out of 13 from here), with views of the Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park. Nagarkot is surrounded by thickly forested hills of beautiful pine trees, giving you a pastoral scene. It is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. In the evening, enjoy the stunning sunset from the hotel balcony/ rooftop. Overnight stay at the hotel in Nagarkot.
Start off your day by waking up early to catch the mesmerizing sunrise view, which reveals the Kathmandu valley that is hidden within the white mist and turns the white snowcapped mountains into a shinny-gold hue. Breakfast at the hotel, and you will be free until departure. You will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for the upcoming onward trip. Reaching the airport, the trip ends with a memorable experience in Nepal.
